Community Involvement
What does Community Involvement Say about a Mortgage Company?
Our goal is to give back to the community in which we work and live. Our clients and community take care of us and we have a responsibility to not only care about them but to take action to make our community a better place to live, work and pursue happiness.
Columbia Funding Mortgage not only makes many contributions to local charities but also takes the lead in organizing the annual Run of the Mill 5K Run/Walk. This event requires hundreds of hours of planning and fundraising efforts.

We took over this event in 2006 and immediately turned it into a charity event with 100% entry fees being allocated to important community programs. We are not aware of another similar event in the State of Washington that can claim 100% of entry fees are donated to charity or that they contribute as many dollars to charity.
With the help of more than 200 volunteers in 2009 we were able to host more than 1900 participants and donate $43,000 to charities including: Providence Everett Hospital’s Cancer Patient’s Assistance Fund, Jackson High School Track and Cross County Boosters, and the Washington State Cross Country Coaches Association Scholarship Fund.
We also support the following charities or school Programs:
University of Washington Cross Country, Mill Creek Foursquare Church’s Mothers of Preschooler’s Program, Jackson High School Cheer, Mill Creek Trick or Treat at the Mill Creek Town Center, International Youth Sports Programs, United General Hospital Arlington, Boy Scouts of America, Windermere Foundation, Cascade Foundation, C-Fair Charity Horse Show, Seattle Baptist Christian School and other local programs.
